Privacy Policy

Lakeside Games is run by two developers. This policy explains what data we hold when you use our website and our three games, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Account details. Your email address and username when you make a Lakeside account.
• Linked logins. If you sign in with Discord or Google, we receive a basic profile and email from them so we can connect it to your account. We do not get your password.
• Patreon supporter status. If you support us on Patreon, we match your Patreon email to your account so you get supporter perks. We only use it to confirm your supporter status.
• Payment data. Purchases are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details. We never see or store your card numbers. We keep a record that a purchase happened and what it was for.
• Basic analytics. Standard usage information such as pages visited and general activity, so we can see what is working and fix what is not.
• In-game data. The choices and progress you make while playing, which is how the games work.

How we use it

We use this data to run your account, run the games, process purchases, confirm Patreon supporter status, answer your messages, keep things secure, and understand how the games are used so we can improve them. We do not use it for anything unrelated to running Lakeside Games.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell your data and we do not trade it. We share it only with the services we need to operate, such as Stripe for payments, and login providers like Discord and Google when you choose to link them. Those services handle your data under their own policies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data, except for records we are required to keep, such as basic transaction records for accounting.

Your requests

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email contact@lakesidegames.net and we will handle it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and note significant changes on the site.
